The heavy metal band Metalica is an American band which has won many awards throughout their whole career. In their journey they have won numerous awards which were a big accomplishment for them to create more amazing songs. Still now Metalica has released nine studio albums. The albums are, Kill Em ALL, Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, Metalica, Load, Reload, St. Anger and Death Magnetic. If we talked about the most precious award which is the Grammy’s award then Metalica have won nine Grammy award in their life. Among them six songs got Grammy as the best metal performance. Other Metalica songs got award for the best rock instrumental and for Best hard rock performance. In 1990, 1991 and 1992 in these three years this band constantly won the Grammy award for the Best Metal Performance. The songs were ‘And Justice for All’, ‘One’ and ‘Stone Cold Crazy’. Then again in 1999 Metalica won the Grammy award for their song “Better than You”. In 2000 for ‘Whiskey in the Jar; in 2001 for ‘The Call of Ktulu’ and in 2004 for ‘St. Anger’ this band won the Grammy award. In 2000 and 2001, they got two different awards, one was for the beast hard rock performance and one was for the best rock instrumental performance. Again in 2009 Metalica won 2 Grammy awards. For ‘My Apocalypse’ they won the award of best metal performance and for ‘Death Magnetic’ they won the best recording package. Metalica was nominated seventeen times for the Grammy award and they won nine times the award. This band also won two MTV Video Music Awards in 1996. In 1992 they won it for ‘Enter Sandman’ and in 1996 they won it for ‘Until it Sleeps’. In 1992 Metalica songs also won the American Music awards. Metalica songs were nominated six times for the American Music awards and they won the award for four times. World Music Awards is an international award which is given to a band based on the worldwide sales figure provided by the’ International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’. In 2008 Metalica won the award for the World’s Best Selling Rock Act. These were some big achievements for the Metalica songs. Apart from these big awards Metalica have won other different awards. In March 2004 Metalica received a Governor’s award from the San Francisco Chapter of the Recording Academy. This was an excellent achievement for the band which inspires them to move forward. At the same year in June Kirk Hammett wins Outstanding Guitarist Award at the California Music Award. At the ESPN Action, Sports and Music Awards Metalica wins the Artist Contribution Award in 2001. All these achievements were a great inspiration for the band and these inspirations made the Metalica songs so amazing that people will love to listen through their whole life. These awards reflect the love of the fan for the Metalica songs and also the hard work of the band.
